Last month,I was invited to catch this Highest grossed box office,4 Golden Horse Nominated film,but I decided to write this review at this time as the film opens in Singapore with Special Sneaks from 4 till 7th November.
Officially in all Theatres on 10 November 2011.
Indeed,this film is the masterpiece of Internet author-become-director Giddens Ko (九把刀).
This film is a reflection of his own teenage years set in Changhua county,Taiwan
Based on his original Novel of the same title,which tell a story about 5 guys,including Giddens,who strives to win over the heart of their classmates Shen Jia Yi (沈佳宜),played by Michelle Chen (陈妍希).
The story was split into three parts of Giddens life,each describing the relationship level between Giddens and Shen,and the different phases between them.
From High School days,to University,and to how he became a writer to start writing novels.
With Taiwan humors added in like flavors of the film,what are sexual references like in the film?
I would say that sexual references are like Spices to the film which is of Giddens Style afterall.
The momentum of the film is way too superb that I was totally surprised and jaw dropped for a few occasions in the film.
It is INDEED one of the best film I have checked out in the past few years.
I have underestimated the film while watching the trailer.
I was expecting a rating of 3 when watching the trailer and after watching the actual,
it's a 4.(Out of 5)
