Kwah- Hee Special: Immortals

As featured in this entry the last time...
I featured this film as one of the must watch films this festive season.
I was invited by omy.sg to check this film out,in 3D.

"The God shall not interfere in the affairs of Man,unless the Titans were freed" said Zeus in the film.

But I am wrong.

From the producers of 300, and Visionary Director Tarsem Singh, tells about a Greek Mythology of a power mad king razes ancient Greece in search of the legendary weapon and when young, heroic villager rises against him in the thrilling quest.

Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders—including visionary priestess Phaedra and cunning slave Stavros —one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend.

(The trailer looks promising, but the show does not )
My Take:I would suggest to take this film as fictional as it is,though some of the Greek Myths of Theseus are true(ie.Fight between Theseus and Minotaur).
There's not even any encounter between Zeus and Theseus in any Greek Mythology.

Perhaps they should do more research on the Greek mythology instead of creating fictional myths which lead to a poor story plot.

Content aside, I enjoy the gore effects rendered in 3D,to portray its realism
of the war between the Titans and the Gods.
(It may sounds odd for a Gore hater to make this statement,
but it's true that the the effects were "Woah" to me.)

In conclusion, the film is like some typical Hollywood Blockbuster : Talking Loud but Saying Nothing.

I would say that this film is left me deep in terms of impression for its effect more than its plot.

Rating: 2.5/5
Worthy for 3D?: Best is to watch 2D for now(unless you are a Gore fans.)

"Immortals" opens in cinemas on 17th November.Rated M18 for its Gore and Sexual Nudity.
