JSKJ First Solo Arts Exhibition : BRAT(兔崽子)

Local's Singer-Songwriter Jones Kang (石康钧) shows his other side of him,as a "Vandal"...

But jokes aside...he has a degree in Visual Communications.

Introducing his first Solo Multidisciplinary Art Exhibition,titled Brat.

In Chinese,The term 兔崽子(literally translated as ‘son of a rabbit’; pronounced as Tù zai zi) is used to refer to those who are self-centered and obnoxious. Using rabbits as muses, Jones Shi Kang Jun puts them in different situations to explore concepts like self, dreamscapes and his observations and interpretation of life.

In the exhibition, Jones demonstrates the process of the maturation of his art through the forms and themes of his artwork.In terms of execution, he experiments with increasingly complex forms of artistic expression–from sketching to painting, then to photography and finally, videography.

With each new stage of progression,the subject matter explored also develops in tandem, becoming

bolder,more provocative and abstract, and the style of representation is also more risqué.

Brat 兔崽子 is Jones Shi Kang Jun’s first art exhibition and a portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will benefit The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.

This Exhibition will also showcase the TOP 5 outstanding works from the BRAT Art Contest on Facebook,which ends its entry collection recently.
